Biography
Clara Baget has worked with numerous French and European ensembles, including the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Orchestre de Picardie, the Orchestre de Normandie, the Orchestra dell'Università degli Studi in Milan, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, the Albanian Radio-Television Orchestra and the Spirito Choir.
In 2024, she made her debut with the Orchestre de Caen, the Orchestre Colonne and the Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Lorraine. She conducted the premiere of Edwin Baudo's opera La Victoire de Karima with the Orchestre de Paris Youth and Children's Choir. She is currently in residence with the Straymaker company for the creation of Michael Gallen's new opera, The Curing Line.
Clara Baget was appointed assistant conductor to Mikko Franck and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in 2022/23, after having been assistant conductor to Claire Gibault at the Paris Mozart Orchestra. She also worked with Nicole Corti and the Jeune Choeur Symphonique de Lyon.
She began her musical training by studying the cello, then the piano and singing, and in 2018 won four First Prizes and a distinction from the Lions Club. She studied conducting with Alain Altinoglu at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
In 2025 she will conduct the Willems International Choir, the Orchestre de Picardie, the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, and will assist Raphaël Pichon and the Pygmalion ensemble at the Pulsations festival.
